Guilty beyond reasonable doubt...

The first ever president in the history of the Philippines to be jailed. That is how former President Joseph Ejercito Estrada will be known in history. Yes, he was an action star, was a mayor of San Juan, was a senator, was vice president of the Philippines, heck he was president of the Philippines! And yet the operative word is WAS. He is now just a former president proven guilty of plunder. Don't get me wrong, I loved the state of the Philippines when Erap was president (only because the country under GMA is a cesspool of political and social shit, at least under Erap our country wasnt that big a pool yet). It is a bit sad that after all they put him through: house arrest in his so-called rest house (which is really a fucking palace!), inability to visit his uber old and sick mother (which is like 100++ years old by the way), and not being able to visit his comrades to play jueteng, they would just say he's guilty beyond reasonable doubt! Come on! And they didn't say he was guilty at once, they even gave him ray of hope by saying that he is not guilty of PERJURY (act of lying and making verifiably false statements)! He must have felt a tinge of hope that he wont be convicted in his next case. Oh well, that's justice for you. We should have known all along that it would be impossible for Erap to receive a not guilty verdict for plunder. First of all plunder is like a major crime like treason, second if he would be proven not guilty then we should question the legitimacy of GMA, and who would question the legitimacy of a president with only three more years left in office? Someone who has nothing to do. Third, GMA will not permit it because she will be in jeopardy and we know she hates being in jeopardy because her credibility is being questione ("I'm Sorry!", lapse in judgment all over again!).

Only 6 episodes left until Saya swings her sword one last time and Diva sings her final aria. I have patiently followed Blood+ since its pilot airing in Animax on Easter Sunday of 2007, and I have never looked back ever since. It is a very engaging anime that boasts not only filmic beauty but also depth in story. The original Blood OVA is darker and tons bloodier compared to Blood+, but it makes up with its thick plot. There are very few animes that I sit down to and really watch. I am proud to say that I have never missed an episode (thanks a bunch to the replays during weekends!). The impending end of Blood+ will certainly be a heartbreak for me. This is one of the very few vampire-related animes that really offers something new and exciting without sacrifing vampiric allure and humanistic factors. Catch the last episodes of Blood+ at Animax during Thursdays, 7 in the evening. Until its ending I will persist to fullfill Saya's wish to continue watching like a loyal chevalier...

The Hello Papie scandal is so low! Talaga bang wala ng matinong showbiz news kaya ito nalang?! At sa mga walang magawang pulitiko diyan na sa sobrang kakapalan ng mukha eh kunwari 'concerned' pero ang katotohanan ay nagpapabango lang for the next election (i.e. Migz Zubiri!), ANG KAPAL NG MUKHA NIYO! In defense of Willie, alam niyo for prudence' sake ang mga props ay lahat meron ng '0' na nakalagay! Siyempre naman para hindi mahirapan ang mga persons na palit-palitan yun noh! Nagkataon lang na dahil bago nga ang game eh may glitches pa ang props. The number 2 was really there nagkamali lang ng labas...yun na yun...A word of advise lang sa Wowowee...ayusin niyo naman ang mga gawa niyo para naiiwasan ang ganyan, last time umusok yung podium niyo...I saw that (hindi naman ako regular viewer ok?!). Matuto kayo sa mistake niyo sa Ultra. Para naman kay Joey...you're already old pero sa ginawa mo kay Willie para kang wlang pinagkatandaan! Be the bigger man! Di ba nga mas matagal ka na sa industriya?! Isa ka pang mashowbiz! Well yun lang...gusto ko lang magshare ng hinanakit tungkol sa buong kacheapan na ito!!

Ugly Betty

I have just watched an episode from Studio 23's Ugly Betty. It has been a long time since I last saw those gleaming braces of America Ferrera coupled with her eccentric fashion statement which reflects the whole light spectrum. I was surprised to know that Alexis is... a MAN! No wonder she/he was so good at shooting hoops! But what was even more surprising was when Wilhelmina defended her/him at a bar! That is so not like her! Pero just when I was beginning to think that she might have actually changed na, the scene in the limo proved that she was just getting chummy with Alexis to get him/her to side with her against Alexis' brother Daniel. Oh well, once a hitad, always a hitad...For all you Ugly Betty fans out there, we wont have to watch in YouTube anymore just to catch the latest episode of Ugly Betty, Studio 23 will be showing episodes of their shows competitively na, meaning almost sabay na ang showing ng episodes dito sa Pinas sa episodes sa US. Excited na ako actually!!!

As You Like It

Plenty of kissing scenes, topless bodies and intense male to male interaction. No this is not a porn review. This is DUPs As You Like It. Like so many Comm3 students I was forced to watch this play, and to tell the truth I am not fond of watching romantic films, plays, shows, etc, et. al. But as it turns out the play was great! I specially liked the lead actors, they were made to play the parts of Rosalind and Orlando. To the sound director of the play, I congratulate you, the choice of music and rendition (violin) was exceptional. I love the violin version of Dance, Dance (Fall Out Boy) and Yellow (Coldplay). The start of the play would give you the impression that you would be watching a looooooooooong and draaaaaaaaging three hour drama, but the directors added subtle comic relief making the play bearable. The only problem is the old english style of speech which is sooooo Shakespearean, was a little over the top. But after an hour of listening to it, you'll get used to it. I prithee that thou shall read thy blog and try to catch the moving beauty of thy play.
